Scholarships

BSC offers scholarships for which you can apply annually. The scholarships are funded by the BSC Foundation through contributions from alumni, faculty and staff, friends, parents, campus organizations, and corporations. Scholarships totaling more than $900,000 are typically awarded for academics, technical programs, energy and more. Learn more here.

To be considered for BSC scholarships, you will need to complete the scholarship application by January 25. You can apply online (links below), or print a PDF of the application.

Grants

Grants are forms of aid you do not have to repay. Recipients are selected based primarily on financial need. Grants are available through the federal and state governments. Keep in mind that:
  1. Repayment is not required.
  2. Funding levels may vary from year to year according to legislative appropriation.
These include:

Federal Student Loans

Federal student loans allow students or their families to borrow money at low interest rates. Keep in mind that repayment is required. Student loans are available to assist students with defraying the cost of educational expenses. Please review this section for information regarding the different types that are available for students.

Federal Work Study

The Federal Work-Study program provides funds for jobs for eligible students to help them pay for their education. Keep in mind that:
  1. Students are awarded the dollar amount they earn over the course of the academic year.
  2. Student Financial Aid refers students to jobs on or off campus.
  3. To be considered, submit the FAFSA, requesting work-study.
